Dermatitis convers a number of skin conditions, which result in irritation, blisters and itchy rashes presenting in the sufferer. Dermatitis is treatable, however, the root cause must be identified for treatment to prove effective. Medical treatments will alleviate the condition, but illuminating the cause, if possible, is a much better option.

Atopical Dermatitis Causes and Treatment

Atopic dermatitis is more commonly known as eczema. The condition is usually caused by allergies. However, atopical dermatitis can also develop as a result of asthma or stress. This type of dermatitis tends to affect a number of members of the same family, which means there is a hereditary cause, too.

Treating eczema involves rehydrating the skin through carefully administered treatments of skin emollients and steroids. Moisturizing the skin will help reduce inflammation and itchiness, which will prevent you from causing further damage to the skin through scratching. Steroids and anti-inflammatory medicines will reduce inflammation and take away the urge to scratch the blisters.

Contact Dermatitis Causes and Treatment

Contact dermatitis presents as irritation, swelling, or blistering of the skin. There are two typical causes of contact dermatitis. Irritants such as clothes, cleaning agents or jewelry are common causes of contact dermatitis. Secondly, in some cases the condition stems from an allergic reaction. Certain plants, such as daffodils and tulips are also a known cause of contact dermatitis. Given that there are so many possible causes for contact dermatitis, it is often difficult to identify the exact cause.

Dr. Kayal will provide effective creams and oral medications, which will help address the physical symptoms of contact dermatitis. However, there is another aspect of treatment which will require a measure of trial and error. Identifying the cause of contact dermatitis will go a long way towards reducing the impact of the condition. When you attend an appointment with Kayal Dermatology, you will be provided with a tailored plan to aid you in identifying the specific cause of your contact dermatitis.

If you suspect you have dermatitis, contact our office today for advice. We can take note of your symptoms over the phone and arrange an appointment for you. The sooner you contact Kayal Dermatology, the sooner you can begin treatment and receive much needed relief from your condition.

First time ever at a dermatology office! So I was a little nervous... But they have a very friendly staff and it was nice meeting PA Joel! Felt comfortable and he was informative & made me feel like I wasn’t the only person dealing with my issue. I can’t wait to see some results and get some relief!!

I’ve been going here awhile. I’ve got a few pesky issues, some due to my not allowing areas to completely heal, sins that prolongs my already glacier like speed healing! I really appreciate Dr. Kayal and Joel who combine to take of me and my family.

Was greeted upon my arrival, very nice waiting room, was taken back immediately. Very professional, caring and friendly staff. They want to help you. The PA Joel was very knowledgeable and knew exactly how to help me. I was given a prescription to address the problem. Will be back with other issues, keep up the good work.
